How do I create a couple?
Open Usum and sign in with Sign In with Apple. Tap "Create a couple" to get a unique code. Share this code with your partner who can enter it in the app to join you.
How does the reveal work?
Each day, you and your partner receive the same question. You each answer privately. Answers stay hidden until both have responded. Once both have written their answer, they are revealed side by side.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored in Firebase Firestore (Google Cloud) with encryption. Your answers are encrypted before storage. We do not have access to the plaintext content of your answers.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings > Delete Account. This will permanently delete all your data, including your answers and the couple link.
Subscription
Usum is free during the testing period. All testers have access to all features. Pricing will be announced before V1 launch.
Troubleshooting
Push notifications
- Settings > Notifications > Usum: enabled
- Check that notifications are not in silent mode
- Relaunch the app if notifications are not working
Pairing issues
- Make sure the code is entered exactly as shown
- Codes expire after 24 hours — generate a new one if needed
- Both partners must be signed in with Sign In with Apple

- Remove and re-add the widget
- Make sure you are signed in within the app
